Description Writing about Reef Shark

Reef Shark

As I am swimming I can smell blood from a far distance. When I can smell blood from far distance That means to me that a fish man has caught one of my fish type and have started to eat it from his kai moana. When I am in the deep blue sea swimming by the fish, I can see their faces really terrified because of my kind of type. All I hear in my little ear’s, as I am swimming through the blue wiggly water, is the sound of the crashing water above the deep blue sea. I can also hear the medium, small and tiny fish screaming as they pass me. In the ocean when we have dinner as I am eating what we love to eat I taste the blood from the fish and the spiky little bones from its body. As I swim in the water I can feel behind me little small fish swimming as fast as they can. Small and tiny little fish are terrified of me so that is why they have to swim fast away from my type of fish.

  1. This is a very interesting piece of writing you have written this week Mele. I like how you have used the five sense to give the reader more information about the scene you are describing.

Another way of elaborating on your key ideas is to include language features like similes and metaphors.

Well done Mele, keep up the descriptive thinking.
